Essential Duties:
A Doud Media Group Marketing Consultant must be a motivated and enthusiastic, self-starter who is able to work effectively in a team environment and also independently. This person must possess excellent oral and written communication skills, time management skills and be detail oriented. This person must possess exceptional presentation skills and a professional presence.
- Call on prospective accounts to discover needs of clients and to offer various programs and advertising opportunities to meet those needs.
- Prepares promotional plans, sales literature, rates, and sales contracts.
- Prospect for new, potential clients, including phone and face-to-face cold calls.
- Utilize tools provided to continually prospect for new account leads and build account list
- Achieve monthly revenue and share goals as well as adhere to minimum standards of performance as established by Sales Manager
- Develop and service new advertisers for on-air, internet and special events to maintain positive working relationships
- Collect prompt payment from clients and resolve billing discrepancies in collection of current and past due accounts
- Provide regular reports to Sales Manager regarding prospective sales orders, daily call sheets, itineraries, new prospect lists and weekly planners.
- Communicates with other departments to assure quality service in placing orders, production, promotions and completion of sales contract.
- Follow station/company practices/policies for processing, invoicing, calculation of sales.
- Attend all sales, promotion meetings and training seminars as designated by manager.
- Report to work in a timely manner; your day begins at 8:30am and ends at 5:30pm
- Other duties may be assigned
Must have own vehicle with a valid drivers license and state mandated auto insurance.
